From CCIH/Contra Costa Interfaith Housing / Dear Faith and Service Communities,
Thank you for all of the support you have given us this past summer. Our Backpack Drive was a huge success because of the generosity of our faith and service members. I have updated our Opportunities for Involvement with a fall version. Become a Volunteer Tutor: Would you like to change the life of a formerly homeless or low income student? We are looking for compassionate individuals to help in our afterschool Homework Club. Volunteers are needed at our Pleasant Hill, Concord, Bay Point and Pittsburg sites. Commitment is for one afternoon per week. High school juniors and seniors encouraged to apply. Contact Gloria Bertolozzi at [email protected].
A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep.” (Saul Bellow)
Blessings, Pr. Steve
