A Giving Tree:
You’re Invited to Take an Ornament and Contribute a Donation
As we make our way through Advent and prepare for Christmas, we hold in our hearts those living with the impact of violence, poverty, and systemic forms of oppression. This year’s Giving Tree allows our community to share impactful monetary gifts with communities and families whom Peace has long-term Partnership relationships and with non-profits who are tending to the needs of communities they serve with compassion and dignity.
Peace Partnership Ornament allows you to contribute to and care for ALL of these needs:
PICO Rwanda, an affiliate of Faith in Action International, is transforming people and uniting communities while building schools, medical clinics, roads, and addressing climate change. Pastor John visited Peace in October. Dedicated to national reconciliation and development for the last 15 years, PICO Rwanda is helping Rwandans to overcome poverty and isolation. PICO gifts will come through the Partnership Ornament.
Resources for our Afghan Family as they continue to live through the impact of leaving their homeland due to violence and gender apartheid.
Monument Crisis Center, located in Concord, is a community-based family resource center offering nutritious food, quality resources and referrals to low-income individuals and families to help them become stable and secure.
Open Heart Kitchen provides meals and support to thousands of individuals and families facing food insecurity in the Tri-Valley by addressing the root causes of hunger. Executive Director Rev. John is a member of Peace.
Friends in Need: This gift is to assist friends of Peace who are experiencing the vulnerabilities and challenges that life sometimes throws at us.
Please return your donation to Peace by Sunday, December 22nd and note the recipient. Online donations can be made at www.peacejourney.org/online-contributions
