Peace is a community in which people are invited to experience the presence of God.  We all need genuine spiritual community where we can face inner struggles and engage the challenges of our times.  Peace offers access to inner strength, spiritual clarity, and healing and wholeness.  We love art, diverse views, and creative expressions of faith.  Questions, doubts and scientific explorations are respected pathways to truth.  We encourage listening, laughter, and love.  With our Interfaith friends and this divine evolving cosmos, we celebrate the Beloved Community of God.

We value our 3,000 year old Judeo-Christian history, theological development and liturgical celebrations. We know our future depends on dialogue and mutual participation with spiritual people in the Interfaith community. We are an intersection where people of varying spiritual traditions or pathways connect.

We enjoy contemplation, playfulness, and partnerships as we discern the Mystery of God, who can only be known by Love.  We celebrate the Eucharist weekly to remember who we are and that ALL are welcome at the Table.    Come taste the unconditional compassion of Christ.  We pray to become Christ’s Body – blessed to transform the world.

Who We Are

We are a Eucharistic Community.  We gather on Sunday mornings, and whenever we tell stories and share food and drink, we nourish ourselves and each other on the Word of God.  We do this because this what Jesus asked us to do, and this is how we remember his self-offering.

We witness God’s Justice and Mercy through our words and actions.  Our concern is an ever-widening circle that includes one another and our neighbors near and far.

We are an Interfaith Community.  We make new relationships and nourish old friendships with people of other faith traditions and those of no faith tradition.  We seek common ground and make common efforts with our international partners to serve our communities and the world.

We are an Inclusive Community.  We recognize that human beings are unique and made in the Image of God.  We believe that everyone has a gift to offer.  We need each other and celebrate the diversity of our life experiences and the wisdom we’ve gained through our struggles to live authentic lives.

We are Stewards of our Environment.  We care about our buildings and property.  We choose to make our buildings and beautiful gardens available for ritual, music, art, dance, healing, and learning.  We want to share the beauty we cultivate.  We are a sanctuary and a place of rest and renewal for everyone who visits.  We honor the communities who lived on this land before us and want to preserve it for those who come after us.

We are a Lutheran Community inspired by Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, by prophets and mystics, and the teachings of Martin Luther and Martin Luther King, Jr.  We recognize the priesthood of all believers.  We are in communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
