Writing Postcards

With the general election less than 100 days away, we have decided to reignite a postcard writing campaign to encourage registered voters to exercise their right to vote. To increase flexibility and hopefully attract more participants, we will host postcard writing sessions at Peace Lutheran from 3 pm on Tuesday afternoons, starting on Tuesday, August 11th.

Let Philippa E. or the Church Office know if you intend to come so Philippa knows how many postcards to order. We are also accepting donations to help cover the postage. With the recent increase in postage rates, it costs $16.25 to mail a batch of 25 cards.

The group that got together earlier in the year found the sessions to be both sociable and therapeutic, as it is a meaningful way to do something that makes a difference and can help bring about the change that we pray for. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors. This can be a great way to introduce people to our community.
