Transition Forum

On Sunday, 16 August, we will have a forum discussion after worship to further refine our MSP (Ministry Site Profile). It is important that this document, which describes who we are and what we need in a new, settled pastor, be updated. Now that we are six months into the bridge process with Pastor Diane, it is good to reflect on and articulate whether we think differently about some of the things we included in the original MSP eight months ago. At the forum on the 16^th, we want to explore the question, “How progressive are we and how progressive do we want to be?”  We will spend some time discussing what the term “progressive” even means and then, in a Christian context, what do we feel we are called to do to promote justice and understanding. We have to be clear about our identity because that forms the basis for outreach to new members. It is also an important consideration when we want to find a pastor who is aligned with Peace’s values.

Forum will take place in the Gathering Hall following Worship and Hospitality.
