Faith is a bird that feels the light and sings while the dawn is still dark. –Rabindranath Tagore

This Sunday we get to celebrate the Baptisms of the Kath twins Elizabeth and Paul.  Sure to be a joy!

The Early Communion Class is beginning this Sunday at 3:30 at the Saltzer-Grossman home.  This class is always a blessing for the kids, parents and families.

Some preparatory work was done this week to create a path through our Native Garden.  Ro is requesting that if you have garden materials (bender board, flagstones, small rocks, bricks, heavy rope, etc.)  to recycle please consider bringing them to church so we can make the pathway walkable year round.

You are invited to a gathering in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King next Monday evening at the United Methodist Church in Alamo at 7:30 pm.  A fascinating evening of reflection and dance as we honor the man who gave his life for the Beloved Community.  A true descendant of the first Martin Luther.

We had a phenomenal Jazz at Peace evening with Gerry Grosz and Anton Schwartz.  The theme was Desolation and they created melodic magic within the openness of our sanctuary.  Next month on February 8 Marcus Shelby returns with his Brass Orchestra and Singers in a tribute to Martin Luther King.  Please plan to join us for this major cultural event honoring Black History Month.

Please keep in your prayers: Eloise McVicar, Nancy van Diest, Tom Popp’s mother, those seeking employment, Bob Sweeney, Gaynor, Phoebe, and pray for an end to the use of torture.

Unless we lose ourselves in every moment, every moment will be lost on us. – CS Lewis
