SUMMARY:Food Collection for ICARE Project
DESCRIPTION:Peace is participating in an ICARE Project with Temple Isaiah and the TriValley Hindu Community! We’re making bags of “Thanksgiving Fixings\,” a reusable bag filled with non-perishable foods to round out a Thanksgiving meal for families served by Monument Crisis Center in Concord. Peace is collecting instant mashed potatoes\, gravy packets\, and stuffing mix from now until Sunday\, November 1st. Our goal is to make 120 bags. \n \n  \nWays you can contribute: \n\nBring instant mashed potatoes\, gravy packets\, or stuffing mix to donate. We need 120 of each item to meet our goal. Any brand works. Last day of our food collection is Sunday\, November 1st. Look for boxes in the Gathering Hall to drop off food items.\n\n  \n\nGive a monetary donation. Note ICARE Project with your donation to Peace. We’ll use these donations to buy the remaining food items needed. Last day to give monetary donations is Sunday\, November 1st. SUMMARY:Sunday Worship
DESCRIPTION:We gather for Worship every Sunday at 10am. All are welcome at the table! \n  \nGuests are also invited to join us for refreshments after Worship in the Gathering Hall. \n  \nChildren’s Story Time will be offered during the service. After the gospel lesson is read\, all the children present will be invited to come forward for conversation with the pastor. Then the little ones will be led out of the service by an experienced volunteer for story time\, discussion\, and coloring. SUMMARY:Children's Story Time
DESCRIPTION:Children’s Story Time is offered during the Sunday Worship Service. After the gospel lesson is read\, all the children present are invited to come forward for conversation with the pastor. Then the little ones are led out of the service by an experienced volunteer for story time\, discussion\, and an interactive activity or art project. Children’s Story Time lasts approximately twenty minutes\, and the children return to the service during the Passing of the Peace\, in time for Communion. DESCRIPTION:Would you like to Volunteer at Open Heart Kitchen? Join us! Our team volunteers each second Monday of the month from 12:30 to 2:20pm. \n  \nVolunteers from Peace will be helping the food bank warehouse team sorting produce\, organizing donations\, loading/unloading vehicles\, and keeping things tidy. Volunteers will either meet at the church to carpool\, or drive directly to the food bank: \nOpen Heart Food bank is located at 7650 Marathon Drive\, Suite H\, Livermore. \nIf you would like to take part\, talk with Mark Howard\, contact the Church Office\, or sign up on Sunday!  You’ll receive a further instruction and a waiver to sign.
