Dear Free Thinkers,

Do not depend on the hope of results. When you are doing the sort of faith work you have taken on, you may have to face the fact that your work will be apparently worthless and even achieve no worth at all; if not perhaps, results opposite to what you expect. As you get used to this idea, you will start more and more to concentrate not on the results, but on the value, the rightness, and the truth of the work itself. – Thomas Merton

Praise God for: Nargiz and Megan who received the Word with a “Shower of Kisses”, for Dee and Jack who have joined us, for George Komsky’s singing, for Michele McGeoy’s solar possibilities, for the Eucharist, for Luther’s boldness, that we can change, for all reforming spirits (‘we are not yet what we shall become’)…..and that we don’t have too many scary tigers in our congregation! Happy Reformation!

For our All Saints Celebration this Sunday please bring a photo of a loved one who has died for our All Saints Presentation. You will receive the photo back after worship.

All Nite Soul was an outstanding Jazz Event. The Music presented magical moments; the Meal was delicious; the Guests (120-140) relaxed in the Grace and Ease of this high quality evening. You will want to purchase copies of the new CD ‘Jazz Church West Celebrates!’ for holiday gifts. This Sunday please thank the members of the Jazz at Peace Team + additional friends whose loving energy created a marvelous gathering. We are blessed to experience how this amazing ministry continues to evolve and serve.
