Music at Peace

Peace Lutheran Church hosts a number of musical events during the year.  This has included classical Persian concerts, the Chromatica Choir, a summertime Reggae concert, and the performances by a Swedish choir under the direction of composer, Stefan Safsten. Pr. • Words of Realness composed by Stefan Safsten utilizes the poetry of Spoon Jackson, who is serving a life sentence. The concert was performed at Peace, the New Folsom Prison and San Quentin.
  • The Dixie Dykes perform for our annual Mardi Gras Celebration.
  • The Pacific Choir and Coelis Ensemble, under the direction of Hyunjung and Jaesung Choi rehearse at Peace on Sunday evenings as well as perform throughout the county.
  • The band leader for our Reggae Concert is Chris Cortez, DJ from KCSM Radio (station 91.1).
