Friends:

God never changes God’s mind about you.  God is simply in love with you. What God does again and again is change your mind about God. —H. McCabe

This Sunday all Worship Team Members are invited to sit together during worship.  Since some of you are on multiple teams – you will have the opportunity to move and join another team during the service.  After worship there will be time for conversations about issues or improvements that matter to folks who are serving as Ushers, Bread Bakers, Altar Guild, Lectors, Counters ,Sound Board, etc. Thanks in advance to all 10 Teams who contribute to our worship every Sunday.

This Sunday is also World Interfaith Harmony Week.  A friend from the Islamic Center will join us with a brief word and the offering of a prayer.  Our Forum time will be an opportunity to share perspectives about the troubling relations of Muslims and Christians in our world.

The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical, and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves. Compassion impels us to work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures, to dethrone ourselves from the center of our world and to put another there, and to honor the inviolable sanctity of every single human being, treating everybody, without exception, with absolute justice, equity, and respect. —The Charter of Compassion, Karen Armstrong

We had a lovely New Member Dinner this past Sunday with a dozen people attending.  Thanks to Deacon Chuck Fisher for a tasty meal and to Deacon Monica Laurlund for contributing spirit and grace to the evening!

  • Assist FCI Dublin develop valuable contacts with employers, and enhance the credibility of FCI Dublin’s programs with inmates and the community.  As a result, they hope employers change their viewpoint about inmates and inmate programs, and look more favorably on hiring ex-offenders after being exposed to the prison and the inmates during the job fair event.  This can contribute directly to the ability of inmates to get and retain jobs and be successful in the community.
