Grace Waves

Friends:

Teach me to understand my days, how to embrace my life that I may nourish a heart of wisdom;

Bless my children, light our path with your beauty;

Establish my life in you and let all that I do—be yours.
—Psalm 90

Pure Delight!—Our Christmas Concert is this Sunday at 5:00 pm.  I know you can appreciate all the organizing, hard work, promotion and rehearsing that Elizabeth and Hyunjung have invested in order to give us the best Christmas Celebration of the season.  Please bring your friends to enjoy the artistry and spirit of this magnificent musical event.  I trust the abundance of our gratitude will make this an annual tradition!

Forum – Advent Adventure:  Learn more and reflect further on the meaning of the Bar Enasha (the Human Being and New Humanity) for our time and community.  Advent is the adventure that reveals the joyful meaning of Christmas.

In gratitude for your assistance with the Shoe Box Ministry, Nette has prepared a video for you to enjoy during the Hospitality Hour.

The Women of Peace will meet on Friday at 10 am to decorate our Sanctuary and Gathering Hall.  All are welcome to join in.

First Friday Films features:  Spirited Away.  This was the first Japanese anim’e film to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.  Thousands of hand drawn frames make this a visually stunning film. Begins at 6:30 in the Youth Room.

Bill Carmel’s Exhibit with other Jingletown Artists in the Jingletown Winter Art Walk is THIS coming Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8 from 11AM to 6 PM, 2934 Ford Street, Oakland, CA.  Very exciting!

Please return your Giving Tree Gifts on next Sunday, December 15.

Sing Along:  We will go Christmas Caroling on Sunday, December 22 at 6:00 pm.  Gary will bring his accordion so you know we will have a great time!

Response to our website from a friend:  “Wow – what a  great website, but obviously more than that, congrats on all the beautiful, helping, community centered programs you and the people of Peace are offering the world!”
